Jimmy D. Vaughn

            Memorial service for Jimmy Dale “Jim Dandy” Vaughn, age 64, of Frederick, Oklahoma, former Vernon, Texas, resident, was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Tesca Baptist Church in Frederick with Rev. Ronnie Morgan, pastor, and Pastor Phillip Weitner, officiating.             Mr. Vaughn passed away Saturday, July 08, 2017, at the Memorial Nursing Center, in Frederick.  Arrangements were under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.             He was born November 9, 1952, in Vernon, Texas, to Jesse and Margaret (Maloney) Vaughn. He attended Vernon, Texas, schools. He joined the United States Army on March 23, 1971, at Amarillo, Texas. He served honorably but was medically discharged from service on May 25, 1971, at Fort Ord, California, receiving the National Defense Service Medal.  He worked as a truck driver for Shan Transportation and Draper Trucking. He was passionate about the Lord and he loved kids. He attended Tesca Baptist Church in Frederick. He enjoyed watching his nieces and nephews participate in various school activities, and sharing his stories with everyone he crossed paths with.             In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Anna Vaughn and Estella Snyder.             He is survived by nephew: Kelly Abrams and wife Kerri, of Tipton, Oklahoma; nieces: Reena Abrams, of Tipton, and Misti Tyler and husband Michael, of Tipton; brother-in-law: Charles Snyder, of Davidson, Oklahoma; great nieces and nephews: Dustin Abrams, Jody Bullard, Matraca, Gracie, Taegan, and Wyatt Abrams, Dawn and Chase Hamrick, Blake Daszczuk, Ryan and Ashlee Tyler, and Tarrin and Talan Tyler; a host of other great and great great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; and one very special friend: Mike Tyler.Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home111 N. 11th StreetFrederick, OK 73542(580) 335-2112
