     Funeral service for Port A. Conditt, Jr., age 74, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Reverend Brent Morey and Reverend Brandon Steed, pastor, officiating.      Mr. Conditt passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at an Altus, Oklahoma, nursing care center. Burial with United States Army military honors was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.      He was born November 4, 1942, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Port Adler Conditt, Sr. and Betty Pearl (McCaulless) Conditt. He attended Davidson schools. He was inducted in to the United States Army on November 15, 1967, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on January 21, 1970, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Decorations received for his military service include: Purple Heart, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device 60, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Sharpshooter (Rifle K-14) and the Good Conduct Medal. He was united in marriage to Neta “Maxene” McIninch on October 10, 1970, in Vernon, Texas. Port worked at Dallas Aeromotive and then moved to Oklahoma City for four years. He returned to Tillman County and Frederick and began working as an electrician journeyman for Hickerson Electric. He also worked many years as a farmer. He was a Baptist.      He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sisters: Butch, Aldean, Lavern and Frances; and several nieces and nephews.      Survivors include his wife: Maxene Conditt, of the home in Frederick, Oklahoma; two sons: Roy Conditt and wife Denise, of Oklahoma City, and Troy Conditt, of Frederick; two daughters: Rena Smith, of Binger, Oklahoma, and Trina Conditt, of Snyder, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren: Ryan, Branden, Michael, Mason, Brett and wife Cristi, Bayli and Kelsey; three great grandchildren: Wyatt, Audrina and Brody; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
