Santiago Gutierrez

            Memorial graveside service for Santiago Gutierrez, age 78, of Waco, Texas, formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Cory D. Stanley, pastor of St. Helen’s Catholic Church, Frederick, officiating.  He passed away Friday, August 18, 2017, in Waco, Texas, after battling heart problems for many years.             Inurnment is under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, of Frederick.             He was born January 17, 1939, in Victoria, Texas, to Manuel and Eulalia Gutierrez. He worked for Central Granite in Frederick for ten years and moved to Waco, Texas, and worked for Dietz Monument and later for Phills Monuments.  He was raised Catholic and was a Baptist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives:  Anita Gutierrez and Lupe (Tijeana) Gutierrez; three sons: Santiago Gutierrez, Leroy Gutierrez and Jimmy Tijeana; and two brothers: Jessie Gutierrez and Santo Gutierrez. Survivors include seven children: Henry Gutierrez, Richmond, Texas, Johnny Gutierrez, Shelbyville, Tennessee, Yolanda Cisneros, Needleville, Texas, Angie Richardson, Shelbyville, Tennessee, Mary Estella Gutierrez, Shelbyville, Tennessee, Nicholas Tijeana, Waco, Texas, and Diana Godley, of Richmond, Texas; a brother: Antonio Gutierrez, of Frederick, Oklahoma; three sisters: Aurora Gutierrez, Frederick, Oklahoma, Maria E.
