Marion "Beaver" Bennett

?             Graveside service for Marion “Beaver” Bennett, age 81, former Frederick, Oklahoma, resident, was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with D.A. Bennett, nephew, officiating.             Mr. Bennett passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Jefferson County Hospital, Waurika, Oklahoma. Burial with military honors was under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.             He was born October 21, 1936, at Frederick, Oklahoma, to Claude and Winnie (Walls) Bennett. He grew up in Frederick and attended Frederick schools. He graduated from Frederick High School. He entered the United States Army, serving honorably and was discharged as a Sergeant (E-5), December 1, 1964. He worked as an insurance representative. In addition to Frederick, he lived in Albany, Georgia. Most recently, he had moved to Waurika to be near family. He was a member of the Church of Christ.             He was preceded in death by three brothers: Cecil Bennett, Wayne Bennett, and Jerry Bennett; and three sisters: Laura Ives, Carol Sisson, and Nancy Villanova.             Survivors include four brothers: Clyde Eugene Bennett, Wichita Falls, Texas, Don Bennett, Midwest City, Oklahoma, Terry Bennett and wife Clarice, of Altus, Oklahoma, and Larry Bennett and wife Sherry, of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
