Gwendolyn Killian

Funeral for Gwendolyn Killian, age 85, of Snyder, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church in Snyder with Reverend William Dickey and Reverend Les Bussell officiating.

Burial will be at Mountain Park Cemetery under direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, of Frederick. Viewing will be held on Monday at the Church in Snyder from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Killian died on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at her home. She was born on August 5, 1933 to Jim and Ollie (McBride) Head in Mountain Park. She attended school in Mt. Park, Indiahoma and Snyder. She married Max Killian on January 27, 1951. She especially enjoyed traveling the United States and internationally with her husband during his employment with Westinghouse. Mrs. Killian attended the Methodist Church in Snyder and served as sponsor for many years for the local ESA Chapter.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Chipper and Gwen Killian, Snyder; brother: James Head, Mountain Park; sister-in-law: Vinita Head, Duncan; brother-in-law: Charles Killian and wife Ann, Mountain Park; sister-in-law: Phyllis Shelton, Roosevelt; grandchildren: Shawn and Jonnie Leckie, Jacob, Seth, and Savanna, Mustang; Richie and Jennifer Leckie, Buddy, Jesse, Danika, Stephen, and Bella, Stillwater; Jamie and David Nevarez and Ava, of Oklahoma City; and Paul and Jorden Killian, Jase and Bowen, Snyder. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her daughter Chylene Leckie, and siblings Margaret Beason, Kenneth Head, and Theren Head.
